The Cotes du Rhone wines were already known by the Romans who delighted in tasting wines from the Vienne area. The popes who resided in Avignon in the XIVth century contributed to the development of the surrounding areas.

We enjoyed yet another glorious day on deck, soaking up the sun and enjoying the scenery.
Vino the beaver had some samples of a variety of local wines and is now taking a nap before tonight's Captain's dinner.
