Peru - Puno and Lake Titikaka

Well our trip is winding down but we are managing to fit in a bit more before we fly home. Yesterday was a 10 hour bus ride from Cusco to Puno. We stopped to see some amazing sites, Church of San Pedro, Raqchi and saw the "Temple of Wiracocha". We stopped to have a group shot with the highest glacier. After a good night sleep we ventured off on Lake Titikaka to the floating islands of the Uros Indians. The man-made islands are made by tying reeds. The Uros consider themselves the Lords of the lake. We visited a family and experienced their way of life and even got to dress up in their clothes. Some went for a ride on the reed boats. We then went for a great lunch and explored Taquile where a native community of about 400 families still live with traditions and big principals of the Inca.
